PacMan 30th Anniversary is a special Google Doodle edition created to celebrate the birthday of the legendary game. You control a hungry yellow circle moving around a dark maze. Your main goal is simple. You need to eat all the small dots on the screen. However, four colorful ghosts will constantly chase you. I grew up playing classic Arcade Games, and this version brings back so many good memories. The pixel graphics are very nostalgic. It feels exactly like the golden age of retro gaming, but you can play it right on your browser.
The rules are very easy to learn. You use your keyboard arrow keys to move Pac-Man up, down, left, or right. You just navigate through the maze and eat everything in your path.
The first three levels are quite slow. They give you time to understand the map. But from the fourth level onwards, the game gets crazy. The ghosts move much faster. You cannot just run randomly. If you make a wrong turn, a ghost will catch you, and you will lose a life. You can check your remaining lives by looking at the yellow icons in the bottom corner of your screen.
I lost a lot of lives when I first played because I panicked. After many hours in the maze, I developed a solid strategy. Here are my best tips to help you survive:
If you enjoy fast-paced games where you constantly have to dodge obstacles, you should take a break from the maze and try Wave Road next. It is another great test for your reflexes.
