You control a small, arrow-shaped icon called the Wave. The game moves at a constant speed, and you must navigate through narrow gaps without hitting any obstacles. The 3D perspective adds depth to the tunnels, making the spikes and walls look more realistic and challenging. Geometry Dash Wave 3D has 2 modes for each level:

Normal Mode is the ultimate test for any player. In this mode, there are no second chances. If you hit a single spike or wall, you must restart the level from the very beginning. It requires a lot of focus and a perfect memory of the map layout.

Practice Mode is perfect for beginners or players trying to master a difficult map. In this mode, you can place checkpoints along the way. If you crash, you will respawn at your last checkpoint instead of the start. Use this to learn the rhythm of the music and the position of the obstacles.

Currently, the game features 3 unique levels, known as Map 1, Map 2, and Map 3. Each map has a different color theme and difficulty level. Map 1 is great for learning, while Map 3 will test even the best players.

The wave moves diagonally. When you hold the mouse button or the screen, the wave flies upward. When you release it, the wave automatically dives downward. You must toggle between these two states to zigzag through the tunnels.

The main difference is the visual perspective. The standard version is a 2D side-scroller. Geometry Dash Wave 3D uses a 3D camera angle that follows behind the player. This creates a tunnel effect. The 3D version also features enhanced lighting effects and a more modern, spatial feel to the gameplay.
