Pocket Chess

Pocket Chess is a Puzzle Game based on the principles of Chess, but redesigned to be faster, simpler, and more accessible. Beat the levels of this game!

Instead of playing a full game of Chess on an 8x8 board, Pocket Chess limits players to small and specific Chess situations on a very small board, usually 3x4, 4x4, or 5x5.

Pocket Chess Gamers' Goal

The game requires players to understand the rules of each piece's movement and apply them to solve a pre-arranged tactical situation. In each level, you are given a chess formation consisting of a King, and one or two other assistants, and must find a single move to achieve the goal:

• Checkmate the opponent's King.
• Capture all of the opponent's pieces.

Challenge and Support in Pocket Chess

The game has thousands of different levels, each level is a new chess situation to solve. The levels are arranged in order of increasing difficulty. Initially, you may only need a simple move to Checkmate. At higher levels, you will face more complex situations, requiring you to find a solution in two or three moves, on a larger board and with more pieces.

Players usually earn Coins by successfully completing levels. When a level is too difficult, players can use their accumulated Coins to buy a hint. This hint will reveal part of the correct move or the direction of the chess piece's movement.
