Your main goal is to survive and clear levels. You start by picking a W.I.N.G.S agent. I usually go with Meii for her smooth movement. You run through different stages filled with enemy troops. You must dodge incoming bullets, jump over traps, and shoot back. The game gets much harder as you progress. Giant bosses wait for you at the end of specific stages. Therefore, you need to constantly upgrade your skills and weapons to win.
I died a lot during my first playthrough. The screen gets incredibly chaotic. Here is a pro tip from my actual gameplay experience. Do not just hold the shoot button and rush forward. Watch the enemy attack patterns first. Also, always save your heavy weapons for the giant bosses. Lasers and flamethrowers are great for regular mobs. However, grenade launchers deal the most burst damage against a boss. Keep moving, time your double jumps perfectly, and you will clear the stages!
